Well, we made it to the PICU. It has been so nice to be by his beside - or crib side in this case. He is still pretty sedated.
Josh and I have had a crash coarse on post-surgery procedures here in the PICU. It is fascinating how so many machines and computers are working to monitor every little thing. The main thing right now is to keep his blood pressure from being too high. One of the reasons this is important is to ensure no unwanted pressure on his delicate heart. For all those Doctors and non doctors out there, his medicines include Nitroprusside for his blood pressure and fentynal to help him relax and help his pain.
Anyway, we are doing well. We'll keep you posted.
