After 2 weeks of major challenges I was so happy to get some comic relief! Tonight I was putting Jare-bear to bed when I heard a squeal of delight nearby. There on the floor sat my two-year-old posing for me in his new hat - a hat of white underwear.(Oh, how I wish I had had my camera!) The two sides were tucked on either side of his chin and it looked like a bonnet. Seeing our surprised faces made him giggle and show off even more.
"Hat, Mommy, hat!"
I laughed and let the many concerns of placing feeding tubes, four hour cardiology appointments, mountains of laundry, sleepless nights with a beeping pulse oximeter (you'd think they could at least make the beeping "D" in tune :), working with oxygen again, and balancing five children's needs, simply fall by the wayside.
Often Josh and I just look at each other and say. "We'll make it." And so we have!
