Joshua James turns 2!

January 5th 2010: Happy Birthday, Joshie! Joshua is my little toe head, filled with spunk and a love for life.
Even when he could barely crawl he would scout out Jarom, go for the charge and tackle. If it is ever quiet, I know I'd better check on him. He tends to be very resourceful when he is on his own. Finding Joshua sitting in the bathroom sink so he can play in the water is not an uncommon thing. He was always quite the artist and made sure mom didn't miss his work. Drawing on our newly painted walls was sure to show off his artistic ability.
He was also my first to somehow escape the backyard and stand in the middle of the road for all to see. It was not until my neighbor came to my front door, that I knew my son had escaped. (I felt like the worst mom :).
Joshua is famous for his flapping arms. Whenever anything exciting happens he starts waving his arms like he is trying to fly. One morning Uncle Nathaniel came to visit and we were all flapping (wow I just typed falpping, maybe we should call it that!) our arms around the breakfast table. I'm sure we looked pretty ridiculous, but we could not stop laughing. It's good to be a kid once in a while. You should try this flapping arm thing. It really works. You'll feel better in no time.
Joshua also likes to do this little skip whenever he is walking toward something of interest. Many times it is food. This is accompanied by circling the arms with great vigor. This "Joshercising" is becoming pretty contagious.

So Whenever you feel Blue
You'll Know just what to Do -
Go ahead, Give it a try
It's called a Joshercize.
(I know it doesn't quiet rhyme, but that's about it for my creative juices)

I love you, Joshua Happy Birthday!
